This assignment is similar to the Mechanical Fin except the movement mechanism is a sliding mechanism instead of a rotary motion. The rest of the mechanical feather parts and the assembly is due at the end of the week at 2:30
Week of May 1
This assignment is similar to the Mechanical Fin except the movement mechanism is a sliding mechanism instead of a rotary motion. There are a total of 6 parts. The Stand, Crank, and Washer 1 is due at the end of the week on Friday at 2:30.
Week of May1
This week completes our Mechanical Fin. Parts due are the Fin Creature, Pole and Ring, Pivot Block and Washer. After all pieces are created, you will duplicate each piece. This duplicate set is used to make an assembly drawing of the complete project. This is due at the end of the week Friday at 2:30pm.
Week of 4/24
We will start drawing our Mechanical Fin assignment. This assignment will have 7 pieces. This week we will draw the following in order: Fin Stand Vertical (and base), Fin Crank, Fin Washer. All the necessary dimensions are given on the handout. If a measurement is missing, then it is up to you to design that particular part to size. Again, 3 parts of the Fin Mechanical project is due Fri. Next week we will draw the remaining 4 parts. All parts are drawn on one page with the page no larger than 12" 12".
Virtual Day means no class to go to. You will have an assignment to finish by the end of the day.

Week of April 17
We are finishing on our Cork Creation series. This week we will make two Fur Cork Creations. These will be due at the end of the week.
Week of April 17
We will continue with our Cork Creation by starting our Feather series. The cup inside diameter needs to be 0.81 and the outside diameter needs to be equal or greater than 0.9 with the height of 0.3. Remember that the Feather Creations need to be completed by the end of the week.
Week of April 3
The first of the Cork Creations - fin - is due at the end of the week. Keep in mind that each of the fin creations needs to be different from each other.
Week of March 6
We will be designing a series of toys in two categories. The first will be cork creatures. They will be fin, feathers and fur. The first creature must have a fin or fins (think fish). The second must have feathers (think bird)and the third must be a furry creature.
