3. Read the article, including any interesting links from the article that might help you understand the research topic discussed.
4. Write a discussion outline about the science ideas and research that the article explored.
Include the following in your discussion outline:
Who did the research, where is the source of the original material that the article is based on?
What was the essential question/observation or current understanding hat the article was based on?
What was the hypothesis (testable question)? Was the hypothesis supported or not? Explain.
What follow up question do you have about this topic? What more would you want to know about this topic?
What area of science is the article about? (biology, chemistry, physics...?)
List one or two new understandings you have about this topic that you are willing and prepared to share with the rest of the class.
