Sodium is so highly radioactive, because it has one extra electron, just like the other alkaline metals in its group, that it wants to get rid of. So when it has no other element or substance to give that extra electron away, it becomes very radioactive, and explodes in some substances, for example: Water. ...KCS 6th Graders are AWESOME!

You may create this letter on paper or as a Google document which I can print out for you. Please note, if you choose the electronicletter form you can either scan your drawing/diagram/sketchand attach it to your document OR you can add it after I print out the letter.
Your letter should include the following:
1. Name and Job Title of your guide (example:

2. Date and Greeting
3. Purpose of the letter- i.e.(to thank guide for the hike)
4. Two or three specific elements of the hike that were meaningful or interesting to you.
5. Choose one specific part of the hike to illustrate, diagram or sketch. Include labels if it is a diagram. For a sketch or illustration, write a caption to describe the illustration.
6. Close the letter with a personal message, your name and your school/grade level.
