This week in science, we are taking what we have learned so far and integrating it into a food web. We will be doing a hands-on game outside together and gathering data to get a better understanding of how energy moves in an ecosystem.
IF YOU ARE ABSENT FROM CLASS THIS WEEK, you will be responsible for doing this web quest with two things to turn in at the end.
2. We will go over the "Life in the Wild" Game rules.
3. We will go out into the field to play the game and collect data.
4. We will return to class, discuss the data, and finish taking notes.
5. If we have time in class, we will begin finishing our food web drawings.
DUE Thursday, 4/16
KOA: Finish Notes
Due: Wednesday, 4/15
HALA, KUKUI, and ULU: Draw your own food web that includes each of the animals in our game.
Draw the arrows connecting the animals, plants (berries), and decomposers/detritovores.
Make sure the arrows go from the energy source to the recipient!
For example, if the cane toad eats a ladybug, the arrow goes from the ladybug to the cane toad.
Hala: DUE Thursday, 4/16
Kukui: DUE Monday, 4/20
Ulu: DUE Wednesday, 4/15
