Prime Factor Challenge
Use Worksheet provide on Tuesday to complete the assignment.
1. Color the multiples of 2 green, the multiples of 5 red and the multiples of 10 blue.
2. Find the prime factors of each composite number from 1-100. Use exponents when possible.
Example 80: 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 5 = 2 ^4 x 5. Circle the prime numbers. Look for patterns in multiples to help you fill in the table quickly.
3. Look at the multiples of 10 on the table. What prime factors do they all have in common?
Explain, in detail, one strategy you used to complete this task more quickly.
