Thursday (1/29): Postponed Math test to Monday, allowing most students more time to review and study. Test on Monday February 2nd. Study: Prefect Square, Square Root, Cube Root, Order of Operations, Adding/Subtracting, Multiplying/Dividing positive and negative integers, and Evaluating Expressions. Please put some time to go over your HW, notes, and warm ups that we did in the class.
Monday (January 19): No School.
Tuesday (January 20): Math Quiz. Binder Check.
For the Quiz, please review and study the following:
Binders should have the following:
1st divider should be labeled : Warm Up (should have 4 warm ups)
2nd Divider should be labeled : Notes, Classworks, HW
4th Divider should be labeled: Review Math Worksheets (I have not talked about this divider in the class yet).
Wednesday (January 21): Introduction to Algebraic Expressions
HW: Students are suppose to correct their tests. On a separate sheet of paper make corrections to problems missed and staple to test. Ask parents to sign the last page (page 5) of your test.
Thursday (January 22): Algebraic Expression

Chapter 11/ The Cartesian Coordinate Plane
Tuesday January 6 2015
Students are responsible for making an 9 page workbook with graph paper. Add heading to the right hand top corner:
Extending the Coordinate Plane…................................719-724
Problem 1 and Problem 2
This lesson extends plotting points to four quadrants, and then uses absolute value to calculate the horizontal and vertical distance between two points on the coordinate plane.
