The virtual day assignment is to complete the first three parts of the Fin Mechanism assignment: Stand, Washer 1 and Crank. These will be due at the end of the day.
Week of May 1
We will start drawing our Mechanical Fin assignment. This assignment will have 7 pieces. This week we will draw the following in order: Fin Stand Vertical (and base), Fin Crank, Fin Washer. All the necessary dimensions are given on the handout. If a measurement is missing, then it is up to you to design that particular part to size. Again, 3 parts of the Fin Mechanical project are due Fri. Next week we will draw the remaining 4 parts. All parts are drawn on one page with the page no larger than 12" 12".
Week of April 24
Since all 6 creatures were completed, you will choose a creature to articulate. You need two parts that needs to move. Choose wisely. The Articulated Creature is due Friday at 2:30.
Week of April 17
We are finishing on our Cork Creation series. This week we will make two Fur Cork Creations. These will be due at the end of the week. REMINDER - one of the fin, feather fur creations has to have two articulated parts.
Week of April 10
We will continue with our Cork Creation by starting our Feather series. The cup inside diameter needs to be 0.81 and the outside diameter needs to be equal or greater than 0.9 with the height of 0.3Week of April 10. Remember to keep in mind that you need to design two articulated parts. This is due at the end of the week.
Week of April 3
The first of the Cork Creations - fin - is due at the end of the week. Keep in mind that each of the fin creations needs to be different from each other.
Week of March 6
We will be adding frets to out fret board.
Your e-portfolios with an Engineering assignment need to have a reflection. This portion of your e-portfolio will be check for completion and graded on Wednesday March 8. This grade will be posted as part of your Engineering grade.
